'auto' unique numbering/suffix for points that have the same number

We don't always have to uniquely number points, sometimes we just use an ABBV designator. It would be great if items with the same number had an automatic unique suffix - similar to how the fabrication trimble parts work. Regardless of whether they are numbered uniquely or not, there was always some extra numbers at the end to ensure any label would just work.
