Change service and spec without revit redrawing based on the design line

If something is drawn with the wrong service, or the service changes, and you use change service button, it redraws and changes any custom things done like duct fitting transition lengths etc. Can there be a change spec and change service button added to evolve that changes the parameter but doesn't re-draw?

I agree. If I have CHWS populated it would be nice to copy that system and change it to CHWR system that uses same parts. Currently valves and some other parts do not transition correctly when re-drawn even if they are the same system parts.

Due to a Revit limitation this issue can not be solved as suggested.
